Singaporeans often complain about the deplorable condition of some of our SMRT buses, which they deem unroadworthy but they have not experienced travelling in this van, says STOMPer Transporter.
“This picture taken in Johor shows a boneshaker sans door and it is used by the public for their daily transport.
“This white van, at least 20 years old, is a godsend to many villagers.
“I travelled in one of these decrepit vehicles for 8 km and I only paid RM2.00.
“I reached my destination without the vehicle falling apart. In hot weather, it was like travelling in a hot oven.
“I hope Singaporeans will learn to appreciate the little things in life and not take them for granted.
“I usually read in Stomp where Stompers do not cease to rant about the deplorable condition of some of our SMRT buses which they deem ‘unroadworthy’ and still running on the road.
“They complained about the dripping air con, the broken floor boards and damaged arm-rests.
“We are fast becoming a nation of grumblers and complainants even on very trivial matters.”

What we paid is definetely alright to ask for better standards..
You miss the point of this post. The stomper is not complaining about the heat...He's complaining that compared to this van which does not have aircon and is missing a door, Singaporeans are complaining about more trivial matters like dripping aircon, damaged arm rests and broken floorboards.
