STOMPer M purchased her Tiger Airways air tickets when they were on promotion and first she was told that they would reschedule the flights and then later on, they were cancelled.

The STOMPer was annoyed by this. She wrote:

 “I booked two tickets to Langkawi when Tiger Airways were having promotions around the period when they were about to be listed. I paid approx $50 for two persons two ways.

 
“Weeks later, I was notified of a reschedule of the flights and I could either ask for a refund or choose another date within 7 days before and after the original date. I had to call the hotline so many times and when I finally got through, I had to wait for about 40mins before someone picked up.


“And now, they are telling me my flights have been suspended? They are processing a refund or I could change my destination to Penang without any extra costs if I wanted to

 
“They quoted ‘increased demand’ as the main reason for the suspension. How does that work out?

“Was it because my tickets were of promotional prices and that's why my flights git changed and now suspended?

 
“The above mentioned is purely based on my personal experience. Did anyone else encounter this problem?”

The problem is they are facing a pilot shortage and cannot mount the flights on their schedule, contrary to their excuse of having one or two planes sent to France.

Is it cheating if they are still accecpting people's payment for services with the full knowledge that they cannot provide the services? Afterall, once you accecpt payment, it's a contract.

I understand if things happen last minute, like weather, breakdowns etc, but when they know they don't have the pilot numbers, and still take payment from you.... is this called cheating?

I have flown with them previously and i guess in this case, it's just damn zzz.

some people might say it's being cheapo or wat but if tiger offers the tix at this price, it is a legal transaction. it's not as if the tix were free. a price was paid and even though much lesser than what should have been paid for similar service, it was a offer by the company.

never read the T&C when u buy air ticket from tiger airways meh? they stated that they have the rights/to re-schedule or cancel ma. that's y so cheap

i will never ever fly with tiger airways again. i call n waited for more than 1hr b4 they ans the call and e stupid customer service officer just hang up the call. i admit that i was loud as i m angry she shouted bk and ask y am i throwing temper at her. in the 1st place she is a customer service officer and she is suppose to expecting angry customer any time i have angry customer call in n scold 'F' words and we still have to apologies to them, she just hang up the call when i m just rasin my voice.

My flight to langkawi is cancel as well. i so Angry. 1st they reschedule it is still acceptable now they jux cancel. is like they are doign watever they like n leaving us with no choice. The reason in the email is due to "increase cusomer demand". when i call the stupid hotline which tk more than 1hr b4 somebody pick up, and the reason they gif is due of the langkawi side there r some problem and no flights is able to go there but when i do a search Silk air is still going there,i dun understand y silk air can go and they can't since both is under SIA. STUPID! The staff say they r gg to refund the amount to my credit card. i have so many ppl travel with mi the amount that i pay is refund to my credit card and e only way i can use is to buy something else. Idoit... The best thing is when i tell them i alr book the hotel they say there is nothing they can do abt it. i am gg to write to CASE and make sure they compensate mi with another ticket to Langkawi...

It is money paid, and not like people going on budget airlines should be treated with such a disparity. If they can set out such a price, be it promotional or not, means they are able to commit. And it is true, the complaints made to Tiger Air is alot. Just count the number of news against Tiger in Stomp can liaoz,

And those who come here laugh at people who goes on budget airline. You all must be just kids who are still living off ur parents pocket money but act rich in front of your computers.

Tiger Airways has already such a bad reputation. Why still fly with them? Even if you give me $1 ticket, I will still not fly with them. If you want to fly budget, be prepared for delays, cancellations etc. If you have a schedule to keep to, don't take the risk. A lot of times they are delayed due to aircraft problems. Why do you think the fares so cheap? They cannot afford brand new aircraft. My life is worth more than the $50 you paid.

u guys ever notice that among the budget airlines (Airasia, Jetstar, & Tiger), Tiger airlines airport tax is the most expensive for same destination?
Jetstar fly from Terminal 1 tax cheaper than Tiger fly from budget terminal. You pay higher tax walking under sun to the plane but lower tax walk through guided walkway. what a world!
