STOMPer Sheena is spooked by the encounter she had with a film crew at Old Changi Hospital. The crew was filming their upcoming documentary, 'Haunted Changi'. According to her, they managed to capture a lot of scary footage with shadows and figures when they visited on a night close to the anniversary of the Japanese invasion in World War Two.
The STOMPer said in an email:
"Our documentary film crew was spooked at Old Changi Hospital (OCH). We also captured many 'things' on camera.
"There are figures and shadows in some of the shots from our footage.
"One of the photos shown below has a strange shadow in the hallway.
"I saw some of the video footage yesterday and there are definitely some weird things in the shots - especially to do with shadows.
"In one room, one of the infrared cameras clearly shows something reaching for me in the shot that the other two normal cameras do not show.
"We found a room with chains, supposedly a 'torture room' that was really creepy with vines and plants growing inside as if they were strangling the room.
"The scariest moment was when we split up into pairs and went into rooms without flashlights and only with the infrared helmet cameras.
"We waited in this room. There was a strange sweet scent, then a scuffling sound.
"I was behind my friend and he said he saw 'someone or something'. I only saw a blur of a human-like figure before he started yelling for us to run.
"We ran out of there totally terrified and left OCH.
"One of our crew members has been sick ever since the night shoot."
STOMP also got some comments from the film crew's blog:
"Whatever was in Changi that night, it was definitely not camera shy during our visit.
"Why are things so spiritually active at OCH?
"It's been suggested that Feb 15 is the anniversary of the Japanese invasion during World War Two, which happened sixty-eight years ago.
"That was close to the time of our night visit. We're quite sceptical but it's an interesting theory.
"With that in mind, most of the crew are now vowing never to return to OCH. Can you blame them?"

"At first glance, Haunted Changi will remind you of The Blair Witch Project with its similar storyline and slow-burn pacing. And most importantly, like The Blair Witch Project, Haunted Changi delivers as a movie that makes you feel a real sense of dread, a rarity these days even for some of the better horror films.
But despite the obvious parallels to The Blair Witch Project, Haunted Changi has its own unique style. From the 1970s grindhouse opening to the outstanding camera work and fast-paced tight editing, the movie is an impressive filmmaking achievement filled with subtle nuances that will probably go unnoticed on first viewing. "
