This should be an eye-opener to Singaporeans, especially those who are "kentang" (Malay word for "potato") i.e. those who are pro-US and pro-Western countries and speak with an ang moh accent.
This observation is made by STOMPer Jiayu, who says that pro-Western Singaporeans (and SPGs who throw themselves at ang moh men) better start speaking Chinese with a Beijing accent, if you look at how powerful China has become in all areas -- economic, social, military, societal.
He adds that even arrogant Taiwanese who think their country can stand on its own are facing up to the realities of making peace with China. The Taiwan economy is practically dependent on the Chinese one.
Compared to what it is going on in China, everything we do is simply small-scale.

The only reasoning that you have are only based on your sided opinion. It's true that Western do need to get positive side of China but at the same time China do need to get positive side of Western. Please look at the statistic. The China people that Singaporean has hired the most are working in lower income.

When you come over to other country, you don't ask the host to accomodate to you. That's known as arrogant.
PRC should be the one who's integrate with Singaporean if they want to stay. As I mentioned in earlier post, you can go back to you beloved China if you don't like it in here so much. Not because China is growing economic engine, we have to change our style of living. That's call pride~~ We will not bow down but we will work together with China to achieve a bigger ambition.
If you mean that Singaporean have to bow down to China just to benefit from there, I'll rather that we don't coopearate at all. It takes two hand to claps..
