Many foreign workers are flocking to the beaches in Singapore to ogle at girls in swimwear and take photos of them. According to STOMPer Denniz, they even print out the pictures of the girls.
This has become a matter of concern for some Singaporeans who have set up a Facebook group to warn people of these foreign workers' insidious activities.
It is no longer safe for your daughter, sister, girlfriend or wife to hang out at the beaches, says STOMPer Denniz. He says:
"You can notice this especially during weekends and public holidays.
"The foreign workers are armed with cameras or camera handphones which they whip out to snap images of ladies sun-tanning or just hanging around.
"They do it on the sly but it is easily noticeable.
"In the main picture, you can see how they are positioned while 'posing' for the camera with a gap in between them. The guy with the camera phone is actually taking pictures of the girls that can be seen in between that gap.
"They also put their phones on video mode and record every girl who comes along.
"Once at VivoCity, I saw 3 foreign workers printing pictures of girls, which they took at the beach.
"Who knows what they do with these pictures back at their hostels.
"I am sure many other frequent beach-goers have witnessed this as well. I fear for our female friends and relatives.
"This has become such a pressing issue that a Facebook group has been set up to raise awareness. Hopefully something can be done about this."

Just because it's Bangla you complain,
Why the heck, you mention racism? The hard evidence is the perpetrators are indeed Banglas as clearly shown in pictures! DUH!...
Every women have the right to be protected in this situation whereby bikinis and swimsuits are worn! What should we wear at the beach, huh? Cheongsam, your auntie's 70's qipao, or burqa is it?
Stupid, insensitive men should shut the hole under their nose!
So someone takes a pic of you at the beach. Tell them you are offended and ask them to delete it. Don't be so timid. If you had real outrage you would do something about it at the time. Hiding behind your computer only incites more racism.
