Flood season is here again. This time it's at Dunearn Rd

STOMPer Martin witnessed this flood along Dunearn Road caused by the overflowing of two monsoon drains, and shares these pictures with STOMP. He says:

"I took these pictures from my office building, Sime Darby Centre this afternoon (Nov 19) during the heavy downpour between 1-2.30pm.

"It overlooks Dunearn Road. Both monsoon drains overflowed, causing a major traffic jam on Bukit Timah and Dunearn Road.

"You can't see the massive jam because it's forming before this flooded area.

"I can't see any traffic police sorting out the situation as of now.

"This is a slight inconvenience, as I'm actually late for a meeting because I'm stuck here.

"But there's nothing much we can do, except let Nature take its course."

So big drain also overflow, really a serious case of choking in the drains.

Think these canals which were built in the past cannot support the water influx liao - global warming will add more volume of water in years to come. Gotto start considering deepening the canal to cater for extra volume of water as more ice melts!
