Cause of fire on car along TPE still a mystery
Tweet
STOMPer Melo saw this car that had caught fire along the TPE yesterday (Nov 17).
She said:
"I was on my way home this evening, driving along TPE before exiting at Yio Chu Kang, when I saw this car on fire.
"A fire engine had just arrived at the scene.
"I saw dark smoke rising into the sky from a distance before reaching the scene.
"I think the driver wass OK since there was no ambulance seen.
"I wonder how the vehicle caught fire."
SCDF said the fire happened at 6.05pm yesterday. It deployed one fire engine and one red rhino.

I passed by the site that day, it's a Mercedes-Benz Vito.. It's quite common to see Vitos burn when it's not properly maintained. Could be caused by a short-circuit or engine-overheat..

SG really a first-world/advanced nation?or only appear so,in theory/on paper like name given by tourist "Garden City"..SG import cheap, lousy quality car though with strong brandname but without much QC check..custom,govt agencies civil servant, all sleep in their job.All SGC must be ashamed of ourself,if tis a Merc,BMW,Peugeot,Renault,Lexus..high profile car, driven halfway, develope engine problem, and got burned down like barbecue meat..then LTA staff better jump into te sea, than all SGC bear te shamefulness..
