A new world record was set at Downtown East yesterday (Nov 15), when 402 people came together to form the largest Rueda (a type of Salsa dance) circle.
A new world record was set at Downtown East yesterday (Nov 15), when 402 people came together to form the largest Rueda (a type of Salsa dance) circle.
The world record was set at the Singapore International Salsa Festival which was organized by NTUC Club.
An NTUC club spokesman said
“It was a lovely evening last night when 402 people come together to dance the Rueda in D’Marquee, Downtown East.
“They have set a new word record for the biggest Rueda circle in the world in the Singapore International Salsa Festival (SISF) name and made both NTUC Club and Singapore proud!
“Top-billing international and local salsa acts were part of this record-breaking feat. Singaporeans from all walks and ages were participating too!
“Our Club’s CEO, Mr Yeo Khee Leng was there as one of the official witness to this exciting event.
