Professional engineers don't bother reading T&Cs yet still dare make a fuss at airport counter

A STOMPer was shocked upon reading that some engineers were denied check-in by Jetstar for being late. This was their own fault and they shouldn't have kicked up such a fuss, he says.

The seven passengers, engineers by profession, were due to fly to Ho Chi Min on November 6 but were denied check-in at the airport counter as they arrived 35 minutes shy of the scheduled departure.

According to the sender, Jetstar's terms and conditions allow airport staff to deny them check-in as they were late.

Instead of learning from their mistakes, they kicked up a fuss and even called the press to complain about the incident, which was ultimately caused by their own carelessness.

In an email, STOMPer red storm says:

"I was surprised to read the news in the papers on November 6 about five ladies and two men, all professional engineers, complaining to the press that they were denied check-in by Jetstar.

"Their scheduled flight to Vietnam was supposed to take off at 7:15 am on November 6 but they only approached the counter to check in at about 6:40am.

"When they were told that they could not check in and board the flight, they made a big fuss and called the reporters.

"After three hours of discussion with the Jetstar management, they managed to book another airline's flight to Ho Chi Min departing at noon time.

"Can't these people read the terms and conditions when they book their flights online?

"First Time taking flight for all 7 of them? Very unbelievable!"

some people think that when they kbkb , they can get their way even though they are in the wrong . quite common in singapore .

Security checks nowadays at airports are crucial, the procedures involved does not permits late checkins. Yes T&C protects company/business, I dont thing so in this case. it protects the rest of the on-time passengers already on board the plane waiting for this six half-a-bucket of water. They must be bossing around with the ground staff still got the cheek to call the press. What if they are terrorists trying to hussle their way into the plane.

this is singaporean.this attitude is everywhere.hospital.hotel..everywhere.this is the mindset."i pay money .all of you should wait for me and serve me"expecting good service from other but look at themselves.through im one singaporean too and i love my country.but the some of the singaporean really makes me feel so sick!

Haiz...! Another 'Chinese Wedding Dinner' attitude! If all 7 can arrive together, obviously the whole bunch have been dilly-dallying or waiting for the one who is late. Can't those who arrive first to check-in first? Pathetic 'professionals'!

They were probably going to repair the plane when it lands. LOL Deny them entry who repair?
