Thankfully nobody was hurt when this tree fell at Gambir Walk

STOMPer ana was shocked when she spotted this tree falling this afternoon (Nov 4) at Gambir Walk.

In an email to STOMP today (Nov 4), the STOMPer says:

“A huge tree along Gambir Walk suddenly fell today at 4:35pm. Nobody was hurt. No major damage resulted from the incident.

“The trunk of this old tree was not strong enough to hold its many branches. This could happen again anytime, anywhere. Next time, someone could get hurt.

“Perhaps inspections can be made to see if our trees are sturdy and pose no threat to the safety of our residents."

It's a temporary overhead bridge. Constructed by Mother Nature.

Tehs a point,i agree, over trim tree 4whatever valid/good reason, turn out 2b unwise. If i hv trees around my house which grow taller than my roof level by 2/3,its better 2hv tis trees chop down, than risk fall over under heavy rainstorm..Trees fall daily in the forest,by nature or by man, nothing 2b so shocked.Wait till endtime, when you see fireballs fall from sky, then you know, its end of this world, all shocked till jaws drop! repent sinners,be forgiven by this merciful GOD of jehovahW today, then you b saved!..amen.

This tree is too heavy at the top...thanks to "whoever" who trim the tree. Islandwide...if u observe carefully, there are more trees that are "out of balance".Trim away too much leaving the top heavy.
