On October 3, VivoCity set a new record for the ‘largest heart formation by people carrying lanterns’ in the Singapore Book of Records.
During the event, 500 participants gathered with their families and loved ones to take part in VivoCity’s third Mid-Autumn record setting event.
Mr. Steven Lin, who is taking part in VivoCity’s Mid-Autumn Celebration for the third year says:
“My family and I are really happy that we can spend Mid-Autumn together doing something that will be go down in history. We will definitely be back next year.”
Apart from setting a record in the Singapore Book of Records, the participants and visitors alike enjoyed Chinese dance and contortionist performances at VivoCity.
There was also a Floating Lantern Design Competition especially for children aged from five to 12 years old.
10 winners were selected from the participants and each walked away with $200 VivoCity vouchers and a hamper worth $100.
Many participants also won attractive prizes in traditional Mid-Autumn games such as Lantern Riddles and Pomelo Peeling Competition.
