Car catches fire on the CTE, before Moulmein exit

A car caught fire on the CTE yesterday afternoon(June 17). STOMPer Hitendra believes that the fire was caused by the engine of the car.

This STOMPer says: "Car engine caught fire while travelling on the CTE at about 4pm yesterday. "I was in a taxi and the traffic jam gave me enough time to snap this picture. "This incident happened just before the Moulmein exit on the CTE, going towards AMK. "The traffic information system also highlighted this incident, so I presume the police and the paramedics were already present.

"Maybe poor maintenance of the car and battery could have led to this. "There were no other damaged cars as far as I know, so it couldn't have been due to a collision. "I just hope that the driver and the other passengers, if there were any, got out in time and did not suffer any injuries."

no..this idiot driver failed to notice his engine temp hit the red line....because there's a leak in the radiator maybe old car and driving at high way some more!!!
