'Doughnut heads' are the latest bizarre trend in Japan

Doughnut-shaped lumps on the forehead are one peculiar trend people in Japan follow to make themselves look just a little bit different from others.

To get this look, all you need is just two hours of saline injections into the forehead and a little pressure on the swollen area with your thumb afterwards.

The donut-shaped lump will last for about a day before the body absorbs the solution.

The practice of saline infusions has been very popular among Japanese body modification fans since 2007.
