Two of the three youths that allegedly assaulted taxi driver Chuang Lit Heong along Coleman Street have been arrested by the Police.
The youths had apparently turned hostile because Mr Chuang's slow-moving taxi had prevented one of them from jaywalking across the road.
The angry youth had banged on his right-door-mirror while the other two had aimed kicks at his taxi boot.
Together they opened Mr Chuang's cab door and rained punches on him as he was pulling over. The cabby was left with a badly bruised left eye.
According to a report in The Straits Times, another man was also arrested for assaulting another cabby, 58-year-old Simon Gui, in a separate incident.
The man, a Caucasian in his 30s, allegedly used his knuckles to hit Simon's head twice and had accused him of taking a roundabout route.
