SAF-issued items up for sale on eBay

STOMPer Yi Jia found several SAF-issued items put up for sale on eBay, and wonders if this is legal.

The items include a pixelated camouflage vest pouch set and a pixelated combat uniform.

Said the STOMPer:

"I came across some items on sale on eBay.

"I'm pretty sure it's illegal."

They are perfectly legal. I've a few air tight SAF ammunition boxes at home which I used for keeping cameras. I bought them from a shop at Kelantan Road which deals with 2nd hand goods. The "karung guni" shop bought them legally through tender of condemned/obsolette/surplus stocks for resale. This is the same with SIA crockery on sale at market place or flea markets. I thought they were stolen from SIA but they were bought by dealers in the same way. Do you think someone would be so stupid to open himself or herself to being arrested for selling cheap illegal stuff on ebay??
