In light of the recent deaths at Bedok Reservoir, STOMPer milkpanda has compiled a list of cases where bodies had been found in reservoirs here.
Two bodies had been found in Bedok Reservoir on Sep 2, the latest in the spate of deaths at the reservoir that had begun in 2011.
STOMPer milkpanda wrote in her email to STOMP today (Sep 5):
"Here is the history of deaths in reservoirs in Singapore.
"25 Oct, 1951 (MacRitchie Reservoir, stone tied to waist)
"24 Nov, 1962 (MacRitchie Reservoir)
"30 May, 1965 (Peirce Reservoir, by driving into reservoir, suicide pact between lovers)
"21 Mar, 1970 (Seletar Reservoir)
"15 Jun, 1973 (MacRitchie Reservoir)
"8 Mar, 1974 (MacRitchie Reservoir)
"14 Jan, 1975 (Mac Ritchie Reservoir, suicide suspected, cause uncertain),
"19 Dec, 1980 (Peirce Reservoir)
"17 Oct, 1987 (Pandan Reservoir, ‘Woman found dead in reservoir’, ‘police do not suspect foul play‘)
"22 Sep, 1987 (Pandan Reservoir, ‘Bride-to-be drowned herself after abuse’)
"22 Nov, 1988 (Bedok Reservoir, ‘Body found in reservoir’)
"14 Apr, 1992 (Pandan Reservoir, woman suicide)"
In addition to this list, here are the cases of death at Bedok Reservoir that were reported last year:
The body of a Chinese woman was found at Bedok Reservoir on Oct 25.
On Oct 10, SCDF has retrieved the body of a man who went missing after swimming in the reservoir.
On Sept 22, the bodies of a mother and son were seen floating in the reservoir.
On June 22, the lower half of Mr Lin Xiao's body was found floating in the water by a PUB employee.
And in October last year, the body of an unidentified man was found at the top of a hill in Bedok Reservoir Park.

Be it a reservoir or a tall building? There isn't proper or enough attention or outreach to these people.
