A second body was found at Bedok Reservoir yesterday afternoon (Sep 2), hours after another body was discovered floating in the reservoir at 6.52 am. There was a spate of deaths at Bedok Reservoir in 2011.

"Second body found at Bedok Reservoir on the same day.

"A man's body was found floating in Bedok Reservoir on Sunday morning. In the evening, at around 6.30 pm, I saw policemen surrounding a body bag.

"The latest victim did not drown because the body was located near a bench along the jogging path, on top of a slope away from the water's edge.

"It cannot be the same body found in the morning because the body would have been removed soon after it was discovered, and not 12 hours later."

A spokesperson from the police said:

"Police received a call yesterday at about 1.59 pm informing us of a man found unresponsive on a bench at Bedok Reservoir Park.

"Upon police arrival, the body of a 74-year-old man was found motionless on the bench at the said location.

"He was subsequently pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

"Police are investigating the unnatural death."

Earlier that day, the police received a call at 6.52 am requesting help at Bedok Reservoir.

When they arrived, the body of a man was found floating in the reservoir. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the unnatural death.

This is reminiscent of a spate of strange deaths and disappearances that have been happening in Bedok Reservoir.

The body of a Chinese woman was found at Bedok Reservoir on Oct 25.

On Oct 10, SCDF has retrieved the body of a man who went missing after swimming in the reservoir.

On Sept 22, the bodies of a mother and son were seen floating in the reservoir.

On June 22, the lower half of Mr Lin Xiao's body was found floating in the water by a PUB employee.

And in October last year, the body of an unidentified man was found at the top of a hill in Bedok Reservoir Park.

I stay nearby there almost 30 years, there is more death to be known not just 9, correct figure should be more then 20+ death police should have all the cases, sadly I have 2 friends got drown there in the past, causes? during our era sniffing glue was a hit for youngster and bedok reservoir was a hot spot for hide out...
Seeing more and more incident occurred I feel this should be time to enforce more security measure in the area,
my personnal opinion police, cnb or cid should take a routine to petrol there, I think that will at least help I hope...
