The Sands Exhibition and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands was a burst of colour and cosplayers with the opening of the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2012 on Saturday, Sept 1.
The eye-catching fans of cosplay, or costume play in Japanese, dressed up in their favourite characters' costumes and strode around the event area, posing for photographs while keeping in character.
Apart from the colourful costumes, the convention had everything for all the pop culture fans who visited, from designer vinyl, to comics, cosplay accessories, anime, manga, new game releases, art magazines as well as one of the mainstays of the event -- the Artist Alley that featured independent and budding artists.
This year's STGCC is expected to draw over 35,000 fans from Singapore and the region over its two-day period. Catch the second and last day of the event today, till its doors close at 8pm (nearest MRT: Bayfront via the Circle Line).
