A STOMPer was washing a McDonald's Coca Cola glass when it suddenly broke and injured his hand. McDonald's has since responded, saying its glasses have passed stringent tests, but customers should still handle them with care.
Said the McDonald's spokesperson:
"Safety is a key priority for us and the Coca-Cola Glasses available in our restaurants must first pass a number of stringent tests before we make them available to our customers.
"They also comply with the relevant regulatory requirements of the markets in which they are available.
"As with other items of glassware that you may find in your home or kitchen, the Coca-Cola Glass is not tempered or shatter proof.
"We urge customers to handle them with the same care that they would with other cups or glasses."
The STOMPer said he was washing the glasses with a sponge and he felt the glass is very thin. Suddenly, one of them cracked and cut his hand, that resulted in him having to get eight stitches for his injured hand.
