Help! Floor tiles suddenly 'explode and shatter into fragments' in Lor Ah Soo flat

There was neither a tremor nor renovation but without warning, STOMPer Helpless soul Vlyp's floor tiles just 'exploded and shattered into fragments' one afternoon.

Said the STOMPer:

"Earthquake? No! Tremor? No! Renovation downstairs? No!

"The floor tiles in my house in Lorong Ah Soo just exploded and shattered into fragments while my brother was happily watching TV on a Friday afternoon.

"Imagine if someone had been stand at that spot when it happened?

"I don't want to imagine what could have happened!

"I called the town council but I was told that it is my own liability and requested to speak to MP for advice.

"I was told by the town council staff that the MP will tell me the same thing. Since when does the MP has a 'spokesperson'?

"HDB doesn't work on Saturdays so they were uncontactable!

"Need help badly but help is not available!"

The tile-layer doesn't know how to lay tiles. Tiles shouldn't be laid that pressurized and uptight.

Both TC and HDB are Taichi Master. No point lar. plus Lorong Ah Soo is a old building estate so to the point, it no longer under TC or HDB fault. (btw MP can only refer u a contractor but not free)
Next this happen is because there is hollow under the floor tiles which mean the tile was not bound to the ground.
Due to heat expansion in long run, it exploded just like earthquake.
If you hire a cheapo contractor, this might happen as you try to cut their cost, they will try to save your materials use. Find a good contractor to repair your floor or get a interior designer to re design your home since there will be hacking work involve no matter which one you choose.
Hint: A Good Experience contractor/designer will help you check your other area flooring for hollow issue without you asking. They will explain to you why and how it happen.

this is the result of contractor doing a very rush job. normally, they have to soak the tile for more the 2 hour before laying....guest what they skip the process thus after few year this will sometime happen. if the tile is provide by hdb when you buy then you could asked them to fixed the issue. if it outside contractor, you could asked them to fixed but they will be long gone.
