STOMPer Raymond observed that the passengers seated in front of a pregnant woman ignored her and none offered to give up their seats to her.

"I was on the train heading north to Woodlands 10pm on Aug 17 when I saw a pregnant woman standing in front of a row of seated passengers.
"She was obviously in her third trimester yet no one gave up his/her seat for her. Some saw the woman and ignored her, and closed their eyes pretending to sleep because they were not sitting on a Reserved Seat.
"Some had their eyes glued to their mobile phones. I plucked up some courage and politely asked for the Reserved Seat from a woman who was sleeping. I was worried as train rides can be jerky at times and I really hope that people do not have to wait only for those on Reserved Seats to give up their seat.
"I also hope that other passengers can pluck up some courage too and politely help anyone in need to ask for the Reserved Seat, because these seats are specially reserved for those in need."
