You can now enjoy Hokkien mee and Tiger Beer...in Tokyo
Our tasty local noodle dish has made it to central Tokyo! Singaporeans in Japan hungry for Singaporean food can head down to this restaurant.
The Singapore restaurant called 'Yac Man', that specializes in Hokkien mee, is located on an alley street in Omote-Sando, Tokyo. It is supposedly the first specialty Hokkien mee shop to open in Japan.
The interior of the shop appears to be designed to attract a younger crowd. The tableware is made of clear material in fluorescent colours.
At the restaurant, Hokkien mee cost 990 yen (S$15.70) and Tiger Beer cost 500 yen ($7.93). Apparently, they serve the same Hokkien mee in Tokyo as they do in Singapore.
