Ouch. That Olympic moment when a gymnast falls from a high beam or misses his or her grip on the parallel bars. You probably caught some of these Olympic falls if you have been following the telecast of the Olympics.
Take for example Kohei Uchimura from Japan who badly miscued his dismount from the pommel horse in the final rotation of Monday's event at the North Greenwich Arena and was awarded a score of 13.466 points that left Japan in fourth place.
Then you have Valeriia Maksiuta of Israel who fell off the asymmetric bars during the women's gymnastics qualification and Youna Dufournet of France who fell as she was competing on the uneven bars during the women's team final event.
It is another ouch moment for US gymnast Nastia Liukin who fell on the uneven bars, and groans when US gymnast Jonathan Horton fell on the high bar during the gymnastics trials.
