Talk about making themselves at home. Customers at Ikea stores in China are so comfortable in the furnishing store's surroundings, they go all out to relax by removing their shoes, lounging on the couches, and even sleeping in the beds.
The customers also enjoy the air-conditioning, drink free coffee, and even organized a speed dating event. Basically, they do anything but buy furniture. A netizen posted pictures online that she'd taken at the Ikea store in the eastern city of Nanjing. Apparently, almost every bed in the show rooms was occupied by people sound asleep. The customers range in age from babies to the elderly.
When they are done with their naps, they leave the bed sheets in a mess.
Another netizen commented that a similiar sight was spotted at the Ikea store in Beijing, where topless males were spotted sleeping in the beds. A Chengdu netizen reports seeing parents coaxing their kids to sleep on the showroom beds before browsing the store.
