This gym helps keep youths away from a life of crime
The Alcantara Machado gym may be housed in a dingy area under a viaduct and possess second-hand fitness equipment, but this appearance actually belies its noble purpose of giving back to the community.
The gym was founded in 2009 by former professional boxer Nilson Garrido, who hopes to get young people out of drugs and crime by thrusting them into sports and keeping fit.

So easy meh? One lousy gym can help keep the youth from a life of crime? More likely it prepare them to be better street fighter, and maybe more efficient in commiting crime..
