A man was apparently attacked by three ferocious piranhas while he was bathing his puppy in the Liujing river in Guangxi, China.
One of the fish bit into the victim, Mr Zhang's, palm and refused to let go. When Mr Zhang managed to throw the fish into the riverbank, he discovered that a piece of his palm had nearly been bitten off.
Mr Zhang later brought the fish home and searched for information on the internet. He discovered it was a piranha native to South America.
Apparently, the piranhas were brought into China illegally as tropical show fish, and several have been discovered in the Liujiang river.
Many areas in southern China have a similiar climate to the Amazon, so they are suitable for piranhas to live in and reproduce rapidly.
Images 1 to 3 show the piranha and the man it attacked, while the rest of the images weird creatures, funny transport and other pictures that will make you look twice.
