The Huizhi Female School in Sichuan, China, was established in May this year with one sole purpose -- to train women how to snag a rich husband.
The school, which aims to enhance women's emotional quotient and cultivate their personal character so as to help them seek a happy marriage is based in the provincial capital of Chengdu.
It has eight teachers providing training for 20 clients, and the course that put it in the spotlight is intended to help women learn how to meet and woo rich man in particular.
Courses cost from $2,500 (12,800 yuan) to $4,000 (20,000 yuan). Despite the high fees, several women have signed up for the classes.
Not surprisingly, it has its fair share of supporters and detractors.
A participant said although she chose to forgo the training course for securing a rich husband, she felt the course on how to secure a successful marriage has been really helpful and she learnt not only why her last marriage failed but also developed new communication skills.
Similarly a former student at the Deyu Female Institute, established in May 2010 in Beijing, said she did not agree with the beliefs the teachers advocated, like turning a blind eye to rich boyfriends' affairs and cater to their habits and change their images to please them.
