STOMPer iPhone user was able to find out what the person who took her lost iPhone looked like, as an app installed in the phone took photos of the culprit and emailed it to her husband.
Wrote the STOMPer:
"What would you do if you found an unattended iPhone in a cab? Take it or pass it to the cab driver? Sell it or pass it to your friend? Well, this guy decided to keep it.
"On Monday, July 16, I dropped my iPhone in a Comfort cab and alighted at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at around 12.25pm.
"First, this guy tried to unlock the phone by entering an unauthorized passcode. Thanks to an app called 'I Got Ya' installed in my iPhone, it was able to capture a picture of him and email it to my husband when the guy entered the wrong passcode twice.
"The app will also display a pop-up warning message stating his photo has been emailed to the owner and to return the phone by calling another phone number. He did not even care about the warning message.
"A while later, he decided to switch off the phone. The app went into action once again and took another picture of him and emailed it to my husband. The app also tracked him travelling from Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 to Geylang Lorong 12.
"I called ComfortDelGro, and they said they would speak to the driver. They later called back and confirmed that another passenger had indeed boarded the same cab at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
"A police report has already been made and I have shared the photo as well. I have created a facebook post to search for him."

U guys aware u are in Singapore?
There is even a case someone lost toto slip number and it is winning the prize. The founder tried to cash it and in the end go to jail.
Now it is iPhone. Any difference?
I guess if he is caught, sure jail one....
so now carelessness constitutes dumb behaviour...interesting. Oh fyi, it's "both the finder and the keeper ARE dumb". You made a careless grammatical error there. Does that...make you dumb as well? :x
