An 18-year-old booked a private room at a cafe in Taiwan, played Diablo III for nearly two days without eating, and died after an attendant woke him.
The incident took place at a cafe in Tainan, southern Taiwan, around noon on July 13. On the morning of July 15, an attendant entered the room and found the victim, Chuang, resting on the table. The attendant woke Chuang, who took a few steps before collapsing.
Police are investigating the cause of death, and are speculating that extended hours in the same position resulted in cardiovascular problems for Chuang.
Earlier this year, a 32-year-old American man apparently died of a heart attack at his desk while playing Diablo 3.

天就往生。
他是一位出家人、不守清
规、破戒造作罪业。但他有一
个好处，深信因果报应，想想
自己一生所作所为，必堕地
狱，就生大恐怖，请教同参道
友，有没有救。同参道友给他
一本〈往生传〉，他看了痛哭
流涕，有很深的感动。〈往生
传〉看完之后，他发心念佛求
生净土。他把寮房关起来，不
睡觉、不吃饭、不喝水，一句
佛号念到底拼命念了三天三
夜，把阿弥陀佛念来了。阿弥
陀佛告诉他，你的阳寿还有十
年，好好的修行，到临命终时
佛来接引你。莹珂法师难得，
他就向阿弥陀佛要求说：‘我劣
根性很重，经不起诱惑，这十
年，我六根接触六尘，受诱惑
又不晓得造多少罪业，恐怕将
来要往生靠不住，十年寿命我
不要了，现在我就跟你走。’阿
弥陀佛听了他的话，也就点点
头同意说：‘好！那我三天以后
来接你好不好？’莹珂就答应
了。
他把寮房打开，兴高采烈
向全寺大众宣布，三天之后阿
弥陀佛接引我往生。寺里的人
都认为他发神经，这样一个恶
人，怎么可能三天往生？好在
三天的时间不长，大家等著
瞧！到了第三天，他洗了澡，
换了新衣服，早课的时候，要
求大家不照平常的早课，念
〈阿弥陀佛〉、念佛，送他往
生。他没有生病，跟大家一起
课诵，经念完了，佛号再念十
几声，他就告诉大家，阿弥陀
佛来接引我，我现在要跟他去
了。说完，他就走了。没有
病，三天！是历史上记载宋朝
的事。
