More crime in KL: Old man punched and robbed at 1 Utama shopping mall carpark

The most recent case of violence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia apparently involved an old man who was punched and robbed in a shopping mall carpark yesterday.

STOMP Team came across the facebook posting which states the alleged incident happened on July 16 at around 10pm at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, at the old wing LG floor carpark.

The posting described that an old man was punched and robbed by another man. There was no security guard around at that time. The posting also goes on to state that when security arrived, bystanders who were taking photos were told to stop and leave.

"In short they didn't care about the well-being of the people they are paid to protect. Instead they just tried to cover up the issue. We need a change in this city, malls should take some level of responsibility!" it was written in the posting.

The article was contributed by the STOMP Team.

My friend was robbed of his handphone in broad daylight while walking near the JB checkpoint last weekend. Really unsafe to visit JB. Be very very careful while your are there. The best solution, is of course not be there at all.
