STOMPer Weeya wants to commend all those who stopped to help a biker who got injured after his bike skidded along Gambas Avenue, including several passersby as well as a team of doctors and nurses.
Wrote the STOMPer:
"A biker skidded at Gambas Avenue at around 9am this morning and hurt himself quite badly as blood can be seen covering half his face.
"He was already brought to the side of the road by some helpful road users and seemed to be semi-conscious when my husband and I reached the scene.
"My husband who is a staff nurse immediately stopped our bike to render first aid to the biker. Some others were already helping to control the traffic and moved the bike aside to avoid congestion.
"Soon, a rescue car came and another car stopped where a team of doctors and nurses from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) came to help. It all happened within minutes and everyone kept calm till the ambulance arrived and the injured person was safely taken away.
"I wish to commend all those who helped. They have proven that there are still good hearted Singaporeans who are willing to help others without expecting anything in return.
"I hope this article will somehow reach them and may the rider recover soon."
