A man in China has won the sympathies and hearts of Chinese netizens after he was pictured planting a final kiss on his girlfriend, who had reportedly fell to her death from a 5th storey apartment.
According to an online report, Xiao Li rushed back to his Quanzhou apartment after hearing the news and collapsed to his knees upon seeing his girlfriend's body.
Quivering in tears and disbelief, he knelt beside her body for about 30 minutes before he gently cleaned off the bloodstains on her face and hands, tidied her hair and kissed her goodbye.
Proceeding to pick her up in his arms, Xiao Li refused to let go and only relented after police officers stepped in with words of persuasion.
The final farewell from the grieving boyfriend attracted an outpour of sympathy from the online community, many of them offering their moral support to Xiao Li and saluting him for his 'touching' and love towards her.
