RazorTV journalist gets 'Gyaru' makeover

The Gyaru, or Japanese doll look, radically transforms a girl's appearance with its use of heavy make-up and false eyelashes. Watch as RazorTV journalist Cara gets a dramatic Gyaru-style makeover.

In these videos, local Gyaru blogger and freelance make-up artist Joyce Ong talks about her own drastic transformation, and demonstrates how to create the look by giving Cara a makeover.

Beautiful and cute? Or unnatural and over the top? You decide.

Images 1 to 46 show Joyce and Cara's makeovers, while the rest of the images show other Gyaru girls.

all these make overs, they tend to exaggerate the before... look the girl ain't even smiling and her hair pinned to one side. i bet even she doesn't even pin her hair in that position in her daily life. its all bull crap.. there are tons of guys on the road that needs a make over too.. i can also say, you only bring a decent honest nice guy who loves you for who you are home. the rest aren't worth your time.

The before and after pictures are always manipulated. The before picture is always made to look silly (-20%) and the after picture enhanced (+20%) Hence 40% difference whereas the techique is simple. Take this instance, the before picture is made to frown and the hair clip is put in there to make it worse. The after picture with a radiant smile and the make up (especially the eyes) and combing the hair just make the difference.
