Trainee bus captain given a warning for standing on upper deck: SBS Transit

SBS Transit has taken disciplinary action against the trainee Bus Captain who flouted safety rules and stood on the upper deck of the bus yesterday (19 June).

This respone came after a STOMPer had reported about the trainee Bus Captain standing and chatting on the upper deck.

In a statement to STOMP, the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at SBS Transit, Ms Tammy Tan, wrote:

"The STOMPER has correctly pointed out that standing on the upper deck is not allowed.

Our trainee Bus Captain, who was photographed doing so, has been warned against flouting safety rules.

We thank the STOMPer for bringing this to our attention."

Most probably he had not been informed of that rule before that's why he's a scapegoat to being "warned". So who's fault actually?

My Question To SBS, What Do You Mean That He Has Been Warned Against Flouting Safety Rules? If This Thing Happen Again And Is The Same Guy, What Will SBS Do?

Putting Chinese signage is not a good idea coz what if next time the Thais, Indians, bangles pinoys & etc makes the mistake? Should we put all the signage in all languages?

THE BEST WAY IS FOR EVERYONE TO TAKE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST!
Because English language is am international language!

Lol, next time SBS should just put a large sign in Chinese not to stand on upper deck, in case their PRC trainee bus captain flout the rules again.

Warning ONLY?

They are trainees, RIGHT, ought to be trained & well versed with the house & vehicle rules & regulations?

If they can't even be trained to follow simple basic company rules or follow the guidelines when in buses,

How are U expected them to handle a bus & put 40 over odd passengers in their hands.
Don't miss these...
