A spokesperson for CISCO says the four officers caught snoozing openly at Changi Airport will have disciplinary actions taken against them, and that CISCO do not condone any display of lack of professionalism by their employees.
In an earlier article, STOMPer Joyce 1488 spotted four security officers in uniform lounging in plain sight at Changi Airport and wrote in to STOMP.
The CISCO spokesperson wrote:
"We refer to the post on Jun 9, 'What security is this? Not 1 but 4 officers snooze openly at the airport.'
"When interviewed, our four aviation security officers involved expressed regret for using the facility meant for passengers and for snoozing in full public view during their break time.
"At Certis CISCO, we do not condone any display of lack of professional conduct by our employees. As such, disciplinary actions will be taken against the officers.
"We note that some netizens have expressed concern about our officers' working hours. We would like to reassure the public that our employees are given adequate breaks during their working hours, in line with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Manpower.
"We have also made available designated rest areas within the airport for their use. We would like to thank the STOMPer for bringing this matter to our attention."

"@Expelled...you have to understand that Certis Cisco is a government-linked company, and they are probably given the privilege to recruit more foreigners than locals...I think their low wages and long hours is just one way to discourage locals from applying, which therefore further justify their need to recruit foreigners (mainly Malaysians)."
