A spokesperson for Nee Soon Town Council says the vandalized sign at a Sembawang HDB block has been removed, and residents are urged to report similiar acts of vandalism they witness at public areas.
The spokesperson wrote:
"We refer to the STOMP posting 'Vandals deface public sign at HDB void deck, changing its meaning' dated 5 June 2012 by STOMPer joyful.
"Our Town Council officers have removed the vandalised sign after inspecting the said void deck and its surrounding area.
"We appeal to residents to alert the Police or the Town Council immediately should they witness such acts of vandalism at public areas. We would also like to seek the co-operation of our residents to use facilities and common property with due consideration and care.
