Van engulfed in flame on the PIE

STOMPer Shawn says his friend drove past this fiercely-burning van on the PIE, before Jalan Anak Bukit Flyover at 12.40pm today (June 6).

Shawn wrote:

"My friend drove past this burning van on the PIE."

An SCDF spokesperson said:

"The SCDF was alerted to a burning van along the PIE, heading towards Changi, at 12.30pm today, June 6.

"The van was spotted before Jalan Anak Bukit Flyover.

"SCDF sent one fire engine, one red rhino and two fire bikes to the scene.

"The fire was extinguished ten minutes later with two water jets and two compressed air foam systems.

"No one was injured during the incident."
