Tribute parties aren't always sombre affairs if the atmosphere at the Bump lounge in The Butter Factory last Saturday (May 19) was any indicator. The club hosted a party honouring former Beastie Boys member Adam 'MCA' Yauch, who passed away earlier this month.
Rather than mourn his passing, The crowd seemed intent on celebrating the life, and works, of Yauch and the hip-hop group by grooving to the remixes of Beastie Boys classics onto the dance floor.
DJs Stanley, Zushan and MC EJ, who helmed the turntables for the night, deserve a pat on the back for making the celebration a success with their seamless mixes that got the crowd dancing all night long.
