Imagine playing Super Mario Brothers on plasticine or hitting a banana instead of the space bar. Well, these creative inventors have made that possible.
Said STOMPer MakethMe:
"There is this device called the MaKey MaKey. Basically it can make any object into a computer key.
"Bananas, pencil drawings, alphabet macaroni, and so on.
"Any item that can conduct a bit of electricity will work...
"If not, just rub it with bananas, spray it with water or apply copper tape, say the inventors.
"The creators believe that everyone can create the future and change the world. So they have dedicated our lives to making easy-to-use invention kits. They believe that the whole world is a construction kit, if we choose to see it that way.
"If you're interested in the scientific bit, it's basically a circuit board that you plug into your USB port, and any connection with the corresponding areas equals one keystroke.
"You connect it to yourself and the object which is connected to the circuit board so when you make a connection, it will register.
"I can so totally seeing creative parents making cool toys/games for their kids, and kids interacting with the computer in a whole new way. One girl even made a wood-chopping where she actually chops wood to have it register on the computer!"
