STOMPer Sharon noticed that a taxi had knocked down three road dividers and two railings before crashing into a drain near the Toa Payoh Central Community Centre. The female passenger in the cab was a swollen leg as a result of the crash.
Said the STOMPer:
"A taxi drove out from the carpark and went across the road on Tuesday (May 15) at around 4.40pm.
"The impact was so strong that it ripped off three central dividers and knocked down two railings at the foot path before it halted at the drain.
"Fortunately there was no oncoming traffic and pedestrians on the foot path.
"If the railings had not slowed the taxi down, the vehicle could have gone straight into to the coffee shop.
"Thank god no one seriously hurt except for the female passenger who had a swollen leg."
