Girl injured after being knocked down by car along Balestier Rd

STOMPer Mervin came across this girl getting knocked down by a car while crossing the road at 9am this morning (May 18) at Balestier Road, causing a jam to build up.

Said the STOMPer:

"I saw this girl crossing the road this morning at around 9am at Balestier Road (in front of the food court in Balestier), when she got knocked down by a car!

"It seems like she wasn't using a pedestrian crossing to cross the road!"

What is happening in Singapore nowadays, in the recent 10 years? More ppl are jay walking, cyclists going against traffic, motorcyclists speeding at over 100 kph in lane 1 of our expressways! Oh yes, many more cars/ supercars beating the red light. Don't they treasure their own lives???
