Driver narrowly avoids car travelling against the flow of traffic on CTE

STOMPer Ave said the her dad almost got into an accident when a car suddenly came speeding against the flow of traffic on the CTE today morning (May 6), at 5.45am.

Said the STOMPer:

"My father almost could not react to the oncoming car travelling on the same lane at the wrong direction!


"This shocking scene took place this morning, at 5.45am at CTE expressway. "

@areyoustomper: I guess Stomp straits times is quite a right medium as the LTA and police have visited the website and contacted me directly. As to when the offender would be caught, we do not know.

@Killtime: You're right. I hope we all would know the answer soon as the LTA has sent their own footage to the police for further investigation.

Hey Ave, thank goodness your dad reacted well. Whoever the driver was, he should be heavily punished for endangering others' lives like that.

@Shirorain_Ave... this article is not about political issue. Is more towards a traffic incident that media is used so that the LTA will look into the matter. By you to call LTA up on the matter, you can sit on an egg and see if it does hatch out an chick out or not... Anyway, you have the clip to the incident, you have the control. Go to the right source you will get the answer. Good luck!!!

@areyoustomper: Do you really think they will publish this on newspaper? This matter is serious and others should know about it. But we do not have media freedom. Conventional media is still controlled in Singapore. Take for example this online article, my last sentence about seeking response from LTA is filtered. I called LTA this afternoon but to no avail. More or less they know what they're up to.

you have the footage .. sent to the media ( newspaper ). LTA and Tp are busy catching mod cars at the moment. They wont risk their life to catch such crazy driver at this moment. Your dad coul have flew out of the car if he wasn't alert !!! Pls call up the media to have them publish the incident.

So many cameras in tunnels & expressways, this idiot can get away is totally outrageous.

But when we speed a little past 100 km/h, people in white turn up suddenly behind us, we get a prized letter to pay for our mistakes.

Totally unbelieveable.
