The winner of Miss Pole Dance Southeast Asia 2012, Naoko Enomoto, was a picture of elegance and control on stage, but her achievement was not without sacrifice. She says preparing for the competition has taken a toll on her relationship with her boyfriend.
According to a news report, the 33-year-old Japanese pole dance teacher at Bobbi’s Pole Dance Studio Singapore had warned her boyfriend, Mr Trip Allen, that she would be difficult to him until the competition was over.
Thankfully, Mr Allen was extremely supportive of her endeavour, and she now plans to spend more time with him.
Naoko, who has been pole dancing for three years, beat contestants from countries like the Philipines, Hong Kong and Japan. Naoko used to dabble in ballet and contemporary dance, and says she picked up pole dancing as she wanted to learn something new.
