Netizens have expressed outrage over a video showing a dog dragged on a leash behind a car in Busan, Korea on April 30. Apparently, another similar incident had happened in Seoul last week.
The case of alleged animal abuse has been gaining public attention and submitted to the police for investigation.
A comment by a netizen on South Korean web portal, Nate says, "What's with this trend of similar incidents suddenly showing up after the first one?"
Just last week, a similar incident that saw a dog dragged to death while being tied to the back of a car has caused quite a stir on the Korean internet, leading to outcry from prominent Korean celebrity, Lee Hyori and even prompting a demonstration by the 'Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth' group in Seoul. Despite this, the incident was since found to be an unintentional and unfortunate accident and the police have cleared the offending driver of all charges.
However, in this case, it was reported that the leash might have been attached to the back of the car deliberately.

"I think animal protection law in Singapore ought to be strengthened too, looking at the many cases of animal abuse reported on STOMP."
