STOMPer Joey witnessed the aftermath of an accident involving a truckload of Delmonte tomato ketchup at Hillview, leaving the road a sticky red mess.
Amused by the incident, the STOMPer wrote:
"It was a tragic day for Del Monte as hundreds of their ketchup bottles smashed on the road at the Hillview roundabout, smearing the ground with their viscous contents and even giving off a sharp tomato stench/scent, depending how much you like ketchup.
"With cars screeching to a halt to stare at the unbelievable sight, it was certainly an entertaining spectacle for passers-by as well.
"Some even stopped to pick up some bottles that managed to escape the casualty unscathed, with others just snapping photos with/of the entire calamity.
"Wild animals might even get a chance to dunk their food in the tangy sauce, with no trace of the people responsible for the debacle nor cleaners eager to mop up the mess.
"Looks like the people at Del Monte are going to have to 'ketchup' with their quota.
"In the meantime, want fries with that?"
