Malaysian demonstrators pelted this police car with rocks and other objects, causing its driver to swerve directly into a crowd. The accident had occurred during the Bersih demonstration in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (Apr 28).
Protesters had gathered in their thousands in Kuala Lumpur to demand changes to electoral laws, in view of upcoming elections slated for Apr 2013. Police had cordoned off Merdeka Square, where the rally was to occur. Tear gas was fired to disperse crowds and hundreds were arrested.

"He ended up swerving onto the kerb, directly into the path of a group of people.
"Immediately after, crowds rushed in for a better look at the incident.
"This incident is a strong reminder of what may happen should law and order break down here."
