S'pore guys, beat this: Man proposes to gf with dress made from 9,999 roses

In an incredibly romantic gesture, this guy in China had a dress made for his girlfriend -- out of 9,999 deep red roses. And after getting her to wear the dress, he proposed.

Xiao Fan's initial idea was to propose with only the roses, but knowing his girlfriend’s love for fashion, he came up with an ingenious idea to combine these two factors together. He decided to get the roses sewn onto a dress -- all 9,999 of them. Several dressmakers worked day and night to carefully stitch the flowers together carefully to make a sweeping floral gown, fit for a bride.

The lucky girlfriend, Yin Mi, was told to wear the gown on the day of the proposal, which she paired with an ivory-white fur shrug and also held a bouquet of yellow orchids. The proposal was held on the grounds of Chime-Long Paradise amusement park in Guangdong province, as that was where the happy couple had met for the first time when Yin Mi was crowned Miss Bikini 2009.

The beautiful rose dress also holds symbolic meaning. The number 9 in Chinese culture is said to represent ‘forever', while the orchids are known to symbolize love, beauty and virtue. Of course, Xiao Fan's efforts definitely paid off when Yin Mi eventually accepted his proposal.

STOMPer UnicornMagic shared her views:

"Awww! This is too sweet already!

"One rose is already so expensive, 9,999 roses must have cost him a bomb, and the additional cost to have the roses sewn into a dress and within such a short time too -- he must have spent a bomb!

"Imagine if she said no. Ha ha ha."

Images 1 to 11 show the dress made from roses. The other pictures in the gallery show weird or unique wedding gowns and themes.

Ok. And then the roses will rot and smell. Then there goes the dress. Why not make something that can last for life?

Dating is a dream. Marriage is a reality. Don't judge a man based on romance. Look for a man who share the similar goals
