NEA: Flotsam along West Coast Park shoreline washed in by monsoon
An NEA spokesperson explained that the flotsam along the shoreline at West Coast Park was washed in by the monsoon. This was in response to STOMPer DJ's post that the shoreline was filled with rubbish.
The spokesperson said:
"The flotsam on the beach shoreline are brought in by the North East monsoon from April to October.
"During this period, our contractors have stepped up clearing of such flotsam from the beach to twice a day.
"NEA will continue to monitor the situation closely.
"We thank the Stomper for the feedback."
