Not every gangster's child follow in their footsteps -- just ask them

If you thought successors to mob bosses are usually born into the job, literally, think again. These photos of children, who have since grown up, of prominent mobsters show that not all of them want a slice of the crime life.

STOMPer DannyReagan, who came across these photos online, wrote:

"These photos, and life stories, shows another side of mob families -- that not every child of a gangster grow up to lead a life of crime like their parents.

"A role model, for me, is Jennifer Mascia who escaped mob life completely, became a writer with the New York Times and even released an exposé about her father's murderous ways."

"Hope this gives a bit of perspective to one and all out there -- that there should be no bias on anyone."
