STOMPer XxX noticed a badly charred car at a junction along Bedok North road. The incident took place at approximately 2pm today (Apr 18), and no one was injured as a result of the fire.
Said the STOMPer:
"I don't really know what happened but I passed this burnt car at the junction at Bedok North, after the Bedok North exit.
"There were no cars nearby, so I don't know if an accident had taken place because by then, the fire engines had gone."
When contacted, a spokesperson from the SCDF said:
"The location of this incident was at the junction of Bedok North Avenue 1 and Bedok North road.
"The SCDF was alerted through a phone call at 2.03pm today (Apr 18).
"We immediately sent one fire engine, two fire bikes and one red rhino to the scene.
"The SCDF arrived within five minutes, saw a car on fire and extinguished the fire.
"There were no injuries.
"The cause of the accident is still under investigation."
